Marketing operations consulting from CICOR Marketing makes your marketing tools, your process, and your reporting work as one system. We assess the tools you already pay for and design the workflows for campaigns and content. We set the lead definitions and handoff rules that sales and marketing both sign, and we build one dashboard leadership can trust. Team training turns the design into daily habit. The assessment and design take four to eight weeks, with optional monthly support after that.

Marketing teams collect tools the way garages collect boxes. There is a CRM, an email platform, a form builder, a call tracker, and a spreadsheet that ties none of them together. Leads from the website land in an inbox. Sales says the marketing leads are junk, and marketing says sales never calls them.

Marketing operations is the discipline that fixes this. It makes the stack, the process, and the reporting work together. Campaigns launch faster, leads get handed off cleanly, and leadership sees one honest number instead of four that disagree.

Who It Fits

Who this is for, and who it is not

This service fits a business with a marketing team of one to ten people and a sales team that depends on inbound leads. It fits a company with at least three marketing tools that do not talk to each other. It fits an owner who cannot get a straight answer to “how many leads did we get last month, and what happened to them.”

It is not the right fit for a business with no CRM at all. Start with CRM Implementation and Integration and come back when there is a system to operate. It is also not the fit when the real problem is that nobody is leading marketing. For that, a Fractional CMO engagement solves more than a process document will.

What Is Included

What is included

DIAGNOSIS

Marketing technology stack assessment and roadmap

We list every tool you pay for, what it does, who uses it, and what it connects to. Then we recommend what to keep, what to drop, and what to add, in order.

ENABLEMENT

Process design and documentation

We design the campaign workflow and the content workflow: who requests, who writes, who approves, and how long each step gets. Every step is written down, so the process survives a staff change.

CAMPAIGNS

Lead handoff, scoring, and the sales and marketing agreement

Sales and marketing agree on one definition of a lead, one set of qualification criteria, and one handoff rule. We write that into a short service level agreement.

REPORTING

Dashboard and reporting design

We design the dashboard leadership looks at: leads by source, what happened to each one, cost per lead by channel, and pipeline.

LEADERSHIP

Team training

Design on paper changes nothing until people use it. We train the marketing and sales teams on the new process and the new dashboard, then check in after 30 days to fix what did not stick.

NEXT STEP

Not Sure Which Piece You Need?

Tell us what is not working. CICOR Marketing recommends the right scope, with a plan before any spend.

How We Work

How it works

An assessment and design engagement runs four to eight weeks, depending on how many tools and people are involved.

1. Weeks one and two. Kickoff, interviews with marketing, sales, and leadership, and access to every tool in the stack.

2. Weeks three and four. The stack assessment, the roadmap, and a first draft of the lead definition and handoff agreement for both teams to react to.

3. Weeks five through eight. Process design, the dashboard design, the written documentation, and the training sessions.

After the engagement, you can run the system yourself or keep us on a monthly operations retainer to administer it, tune it, and report on it. Either way, the process documents and the dashboards are yours to keep.

Why It Matters

Why CICOR Marketing for operations

We run our own marketing on the same kind of system we design for clients: one CRM, one process, one report. CICOR Marketing is a listed HubSpot Solutions Partner and also works in Zoho and Pipedrive. The recommendation is about what fits you, not what we resell. CICOR Marketing has worked in marketing and IT since 1997. The IT half is why the technology assessment is done by someone who reads the integrations, not just the brochures.

A roofing company we might see has a CRM, an email tool, a call tracker, and a spreadsheet. Website leads go to an inbox, and the office manager forwards them when she can. The engagement connects the forms to the CRM and sets a rule that every lead gets a call within one business hour. A new dashboard shows leads by source and what happened to each one, so sales and marketing are finally looking at the same list. The example is illustrative.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Marketing operations is the work of making a company’s marketing tools, processes, and reporting run as one system. It covers the technology stack, the workflows for campaigns and content, the handoff of leads to sales, and the dashboard leadership uses. CICOR Marketing delivers it as a four to eight week assessment and design engagement. Optional monthly support runs the system afterward.

To align sales and marketing, get both teams to agree in writing on one definition of a qualified lead, one set of criteria for handing it off, and one response time for following up. Then put both teams on one dashboard that shows every lead by source and what happened to it. Most conflict between the two teams comes from working off different lists. One shared list removes the argument.

Most small businesses need four marketing tools: a CRM to hold every contact and lead, an email platform connected to it, a website form and call tracking setup that feeds the CRM, and a reporting dashboard. Anything beyond that should earn its place by doing a job those four cannot. A stack assessment from CICOR Marketing lists what you have, what overlaps, and what to drop.

No. Marketing operations consulting from CICOR Marketing designs the process, the handoff, and the dashboard, and it assumes a CRM is already in place. If you need a CRM installed, migrated, or connected, that is a separate engagement on the CRM Implementation and Integration page. The two are often done together. The operations design sets the requirements for the build.

Ready When You Are

One list, one report, and two teams that stop blaming each other

Most operations problems come down to missing agreements about who does what, and by when. An operations review finds those gaps in the first two weeks. Tell us which tools you run and where the leads get lost, and we will come to the call ready.
