An AI readiness assessment from CICOR Marketing shows a business where AI fits, where it does not, and what to do first. Over three to four weeks we interview the people who do the work, review the tools and data you already have, rank the use cases by value and effort, and hand you a written roadmap with the first three projects scoped. The assessment is a fixed fee, set by company size and quoted before the first call, and senior CICOR Marketing strategists lead it.

You have heard it from your software vendors, your peers, and probably your kids. Use AI. Nobody tells you which workflows would benefit, which tools are worth paying for, or what could go wrong if someone pastes a client file into the wrong place.

Most owners we talk to have already tried a few things. A subscription here, a chatbot demo there. Nothing stuck, because nothing was tied to a real bottleneck. The assessment, the first step in our AI Services group, starts with the bottleneck and works backward to the tool.

Think of it as the blueprint before construction. You would not pour a foundation without one.

Who It Fits

Who this is for, and who it is not

This assessment fits an owner or a leadership team at a business with roughly five to 100 employees that wants a plan before it spends money on AI. It fits companies where the same work repeats every week: intake, follow-up, reporting, proposals, scheduling, and content.

It is not the right first step if you already know the one workflow you want built. In that case, go straight to AI Implementation and Workflow Design and we will scope the build. And if your question is whether ChatGPT recommends your business, that is a different service. Start with the AI Visibility Audit and Citation Monitoring.

If you have more than 100 employees, we scope the assessment after a short call, because the interviews grow with the company.

What Is Included

What is included

FOUNDATION

Kickoff and stakeholder interviews

We interview up to six people, and not just the leadership team. The person who answers the phone knows where the hours go, and that is where most of the good use cases come from.

DIAGNOSIS

Workflow and tool inventory

We list the software you pay for, the data each one holds, and the steps your team repeats each week. Most businesses already own tools with AI features they have never turned on.

PLANNING

Use-case map ranked by value and effort

Every idea from the interviews goes on one map, scored by how much time or revenue it touches and how hard it would be to build. The result is a short list you can defend, not a wish list.

LEADERSHIP

Risk, governance, and policy recommendations

We spell out what your team may paste into an AI tool, what it may never paste, and who checks the output before it reaches a customer. We draft the policy in plain language.

EXECUTION

Roadmap with the first three initiatives scoped

Each of the first three projects gets a scope, a size estimate, and an order. You can build them with us or with your own team, and AI Training and Enablement is how they stick.

REPORTING

Executive readout or half-day workshop

The engagement ends with a readout to leadership. For teams that need to make decisions in the room, we run a half-day executive workshop instead, scoped separately.

MEASUREMENT

Written assessment report

Everything above lands in one document you can hand to a manager or a board. It reflects the tools, data, and processes we reviewed on the dates of the engagement.

NEXT STEP

Not Sure Which Piece You Need?

Tell us what is not working. CICOR Marketing recommends the right scope, with a plan before any spend.

How We Work

How it works

The assessment runs three to four weeks from kickoff to readout.

1. Week one. Kickoff, interviews scheduled and started, and access granted to the tools we need to inventory.

2. Week two. Interviews finished, inventory complete, first draft of the use-case map.

3. Week three. Use cases scored, risks and policy drafted, roadmap written and sized.

4. Week four. Written report delivered and the readout or workshop held.

Your part is small: up to six people to interview for about an hour each, and one contact who can grant access.

Take a 30-person heating and air company, an illustrative example rather than a client result. The owner assumes AI means a chatbot on the website. The interviews show the real bottleneck is the two hours a day the office manager spends turning technician notes into invoices and follow-up emails. That becomes project one. The chatbot lands at number seven.

Why It Matters

Why CICOR Marketing for AI strategy

CICOR Marketing has worked in marketing and IT since 1997 and leads the assessment. He runs CICOR Marketing’s own work on the tools you will hear about in the report, Claude, ChatGPT, HubSpot, and ClickUp among them, with a person reviewing every deliverable.

We recommend; you decide. The assessment is advisory, and we do not sell software licenses, so we have no reason to push one tool over another. If the honest answer is that AI does not fit a workflow yet, the report says so.

This page describes the work. The AI Consultant page in our Consulting practice describes the role, for owners who came looking for a person rather than a service. Both lead here.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

An AI readiness assessment is a short, structured review that shows a business where AI would help, what it would take to get there, and what could go wrong. CICOR Marketing runs it in three to four weeks: interviews with the people who do the work, an inventory of tools and data, a ranked map of use cases, and a roadmap with the first three projects scoped. The result is a written plan, not a product pitch.

A small business should start with the workflow that eats the most hours, not with the tool that gets the most press. Look for work that repeats every week and follows a pattern: follow-up emails, reports, proposals, intake notes. Pick one, set a rule for what may and may not go into an AI tool, and have a person check every output before it goes out. An assessment makes that selection for you.

An AI strategy consultant helps a business decide where AI fits, where it does not, and how to adopt it without creating new risk. At CICOR Marketing that means interviewing your team, reviewing your tools and data, ranking use cases by value and effort, drafting a use policy, and writing a roadmap. The consultant recommends. The owner decides what to build.

An AI readiness assessment from CICOR Marketing is a one-time fixed fee set by company size, with one fee for companies up to 25 employees and a higher fee for 26 to 100, quoted before the first call. The fee covers the interviews, the inventory, the use-case map, the policy draft, the roadmap, and the readout. The executive workshop and ongoing advisory are quoted separately.

Ready When You Are

Get the plan before you buy the tool

Most of the businesses we talk to have already spent money on AI and cannot say what it changed. The assessment ends that. In about four weeks you know which three projects are worth doing and what each one takes. You can act on the plan with us or without us.
